Effects of Temperature and Water on Nylon

Cable ties are manufactured with Nylon 6/6. Nylon 6/6 needs moisture to be pliable. Problem is when the ties are kept in an environment less than 320 F, the water in the nylon freezes. This causes brittleness during installation.  Our Cold Weather Ties, are made with a blend which does not require moisture (does not freeze) and can be installed in below freezing temperature. For a “Temperature Range” we guarantee installation down to -400F. Keep in mind once the cable ties is installed, it’s installed. It will not freeze off, shatter, crumble, or deteriorate no matter how low the temperature goes.
